GROUND machinery specialist Toro has added an electric version of its 3200 mower to its Australian product range, aimed at businesses wanting a high-efficiency, zero-emission commercial-grade grounds machine.

The Groundsmaster e3200 can be configured with up to 17 ‘HyperCell’ batteries for all-day operation.

It features smart controls to optimise power consumption by continuously and efficiently providing ample cutting power without bogging down.

The reserve power mode allows the operator to set parameters ensuring enough battery power to return to the recharging station and the on-board 3.3kW charger allows for recharging overnight.

The e3200 marks the culmination of 50 years of business in which Toro has created innovative out-front rotary mowers.

This new model continues the legacy of efficiency and legendary cut quality, now powered by advanced lithium-ion battery technology for all-day power.

Toro said that the Groundsmaster e3200 features Toro’s HyperCell battery technology which uses lithium-ion batteries and an integrated battery management system, to enhance reliability and longevity.

The mower comes standard with 11 HyperCell batteries, expandable to 17 for more demanding tasks. The 3.3-kilowatt on-board charger recharges the mower overnight.

Smart controls optimise power consumption and include a reserve power mode that alerts the operator when the battery is low and ensures enough battery power is available to return to the recharging station.

The e3200 is equipped with Toro’s ‘InfoCenter’ display that provides battery status, hours, alerts, and customisable settings.

The electric mower has the same 60-inch (1520mm) side or rear discharge mowing deck options and impact bumpers as Toro’s diesel-powered models.

The e3200 offers zero operating emissions, a rugged chassis, and commercial-grade mowing deck.

It operates significantly quieter, ideal for noise-sensitive areas and early morning use.

Toro said it suits operations that want to save on running costs, including not needing expensive diesel fuel and the fact it has reduced maintenance.

The e3200 has ground speeds up to 20 km/h and 200mm ground clearance so it can access job sites ahead of many other mowers.

By comparison, the diesel-fuelled Toro Groundsmaster 3200 has a 24.7hp (18.4kW) diesel engine and Toro’s CrossTrax all-wheel drive system.
